The Marmont Award

The Marmont Memorial Award is donated by the Marmont Family in memory of Jenny Marmont (Stephenson) who was a big supporter of Goulburn Mulwaree Athletics. The criteria is: Commitment to The Club, Length of Service, & Sportsmanship. It can be awarded to athletes and/or volunteers.

Junior And Senior Clubperson

The Criteria for this award is: Participation in ACT Carnivals, Attendance and Sportsmanship at Club Levels, and Commitment to Training plays a smaller role. It is awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd in both Junior and Senior. (Juniors are U/12’s)

Most Improved

The athletes with a high number of PB’s are looked at, then we look at their overall improvement in times and distances.

Best In Age

Best in Age is determined by giving 1 point to each athlete that is best in each event. If a tie is determined then a countback involving just the athletes that were tied takes place. If it is still tied it will be awarded to both.

Pointscore and Overall Pointscore Male and Female

Points are Scored as Follows:
1 point for each event competed in, 2 points for each PB based on that season’s best only, 3 points the first time an athlete breaks a record, 4 bonus points for signing up at the registration nights. Awarded as Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in each as group as well as 1st, 2nd and 3rd Trophies for overall male and female.
